Introduction to Shahi Tukray:
A traditional and delicious Mughlai dessert, Shahi Tukray lends a royal touch to any special occasion. Originating from the era of the Mughals, this delicious sweet dish is still a favorite in Pakistani and Indian households today.

✨ Ingredients:
- 4-6 bread slices (milk and white bread)
- Milk – 1 liter
- Sugar – 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
- Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
- Kewra essence – 2-3 drops
- Dry fruits (almonds, pistachios, cashews) – 2 tbsp (chopped)
- Oil or ghee to fry the bread
👩🍳 Method:
- Slice the bread into squares or triangles after trimming the edges.
- Slices of bread should be fried in hot ghee till golden brown. To absorb extra oil, remove and lay on a paper towel.
- Bring the milk to a boil in another pot. As it starts to thicken, add the kewra essence, sugar, and cardamom powder.
- Let the milk reduce to half its original quantity, then turn off the heat.
- Arrange the fried bread slices in a serving dish and pour the thickened milk (rabri) over them.
- Garnish with chopped dry fruits and refrigerate for 1–2 hours before serving.
- Serve chilled and enjoy this royal treat that will surely win hearts!
