- Fish fillets β 500 grams (boneless or with bone, as preferred)
- Lemon juice β 2 tablespoons
- Ginger garlic paste β 1 tablespoon
- Red chili powder β 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder β Β½ teaspoon
- Cumin powder β 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder β 1 teaspoon
- Salt β to taste
- Gram flour (besan) β 2 tablespoons
- Two tablespoons of rice flour (for added crispiness)
- Water β as needed (for coating)
- Oil β for deep frying

- Clean the Fish:
Wash the fish thoroughly and pat it dry using a paper towel. - Marinate:
In a bowl, add lemon juice & ginger garlic paste & salt, and all the dry spices. Mix well. Add the fish pieces and coat them properly. Let it marinate for 30 minutes. - Prepare the Coating:
To the marinated fish, add rice flour and gram flour. Sprinkle a little water and mix until fish pieces are well-coated with a thick masala layer. - Fry the Fish:
Heat oil in a pan. Once hot, gently slide the fish pieces and fry on medium flame until golden brown and crispy on both sides. - Serve Hot:
To get rid of extra oil, place them on a paper towel. Serve hot with mint chutney, lemon wedges, or ketchup.
